Job description

Paterson Recruitment are recruiting a Web Executive to manage our clients website. The position will involve updating product information on the website and ensuring site visits and marketing campaigns are reported on, therefore a strong knowledge of  marketing analytics will be essential.


The Role


Reporting into the Sales and Marketing Director you will:

  • Manage the E - Commerce function to maximise online sales revenue
  • Cultivate an innovative and stylish website that will drive traffic
  • Deliver a seamless online experience that will turn site visitors into customers
  • Make key strategic decisions and plan future improvements to systems
  • Ensure efficient day to day running of the site and work with Tech Agencies for ongoing development
  • Utilise web analytics to gain insight into user behaviours and to prepare reports
  • Work closely with the Marketing and Sales teams to ensure close co-ordination of campaigns and the overall sales strategy



Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop, communicate, and implement the e-commerce strategy
  • Manage web content on a day-to-day basis to ensure all products and services are represented accurately and effectively.
  • Ensure efficient day to day running of the site and work with Tech Agencies for ongoing development
  • Manage deadlines and budgets
  • Work closely with the Brand Manager on creative development to ensure web content is highly engaging and tailored for platforms, and customers
  • Manage the customer journey through development of UX and UI and direct communication channels – eg Email and Zendesk.
  • Monitor, track, analyse and report on performance across platforms using tools such as Google Analytics and Facebook Insights
  • Analyse competitor activity and implement key learnings



Job Related Qualifications/Skills

  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills, and the demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse internal and external partners.
  • Must be able to adapt quickly to change and prioritise multiple competing priorities, to deliver great outcomes on time, on budget and on message.
  • Practical and process driven, with exceptional understanding of end-to-end processes and systems
  • Impeccable attention to detail. Ability to meet deadlines and manage delivery expectations
  • Evidence of increased profitability from a previous role, including key KPIs: Conversion, AOV, Acquisition.
  • Evidence of managing site performance to inform decision making and to gauge effectiveness of user focused website optimisation and enhancement leading to improved turnover and improved customer experience.
  • Excel in the use of Google Analytics, interpreting reports, segments, dashboards with an ability to dive in to find insights
  • Working knowledge & understanding of HTML and email development & design.
  • Writing functional specifications, creating sitemaps and test plans
  • A good understanding of website and domain hosting
  • Utilising web analytics to gain insight into user behaviours and preparing reports



Experience working with the following would be advantageous:

  • Mantis or similar bug tracking software
  • InDesign and Adobe Photoshop
  • Magento 2
  • Analytics & SEO
