The Agency Workers Regulations (AWR) came into effect in the United Kingdom from 1st October 2011. The AWR ensures “equal treatment” of Agency Workers in terms of basic employment and working conditions. The Regulations apply to temporary workers who are engaged in employment via recruitment agencies.
Paterson Recruitment has invested heavily in systems to ensure the necessary evaluations and assessments of basic working and employment conditions are being completed for all our Agency Workers/contractors, in line with the regulations.
Paterson Recruitment is committed to adhering to all regulations and requirements for Agency Workers and providing a positive working environment. All Agency Workers/contractors now have access to shared facilities such as restrooms, canteens, staff rooms or similar facilities (depending on what is available and the qualifying policies at the work location). For more information regarding the services available at your particular location, please refer to your line manager or call your local branch of Paterson Recruitment.
As a Temporary Worker you will also be entitled to access information relating to job vacancies at your work placement and are also entitled to the same pay as permanent staff after an initial 12-week period.
Should you have any further queries on this or any other aspect of your temporary assignment please contact your local branch.
